“Student-athletes” will not need minimum scores on standardized tests to eligible for Division I and II sports under a proposal by an NCAA task force, reports Mark Schlabach for ESPN.
Dropping scores is “part of the NCAA’s eight-point plan to advance racial equity,” writes Schlabach.
My tax dollars pay for state schools and their NFL/NBA farm teams. And now they're considering getting rid of even the veneer that we're teaching "student-athletes" anything. Why should I have to pay for that?
