Probably a giant sequoia, I suppose. Is that the same thing as a California redwood?

The Giant Sequoia (Sequoia sempervirens)

Cannabis Sativa?! heh...I kid..and that's not a tree, anyway.
I believe it is the Sequoia (not S. Sempervirens, the Coast Redwood, but the Giant Sequoia on the slopes of the southern Sierra Nevada.)

California Redwood I'd guess. (Maybe Sequoia?)

There was a state tree but it left due to the oppressive tax burden and over regulation about how much oxygen it could produce in a day...
