I Wonder If This Is True

I received this in an email today but have no idea if it's true:
EXECUTIVE ORDERS ISSUED…

Teddy Roosevelt 3

Between Teddy to FDR NONE

FDR 11 in 16 years

Truman 5 in 7 years

Ike 2 in 8 years

Kennedy 4 in 3 years

LBJ 4 in 5 years

Nixon 1 in 6 years

Ford 3 in 2 years

Carter 3 in 4 years

Reagan 5 in 8 years

Bush 3 in 4 years

Clinton 15 in 8 years

George W. Bush 62 in 8 years

Obama 923 in 3 1/2 years!
Even if not true it's probably, as lefties said eight years ago, "fake but accurate" :-)

People said President Bush practiced an Imperial Presidency. If the above information is true, what does that say about the incumbent?

Or it could be a load of BS.

Come on, Darren. I know this election means a lot to you and that you are a strong-willed right leaning thinker, but a few moments with Google gets the Federal Register's Executive Orders Disposition Tables Index. "Trust, but verify" ... it's good policy nowadays with much of what's floating around the Internet.

Obama has issued 134 to GWB's 290.

Barack Obama (2009-Present)
EO's 13489 - 13623

George W. Bush (2001-2009)
EO's 13198-13488

Actually, looking back at the list, none of those numbers is even the slightest bit accurate. FDR, for example issued more than 3000:

Barack Obama (2009-Present)
EO's 13489 - 13623

George W. Bush (2001-2009)
EO's 13198-13488

William J. Clinton (1993-2001)
EO's 12834-13197

George Bush (1989-1993)
EO's 12668-12833

Ronald Reagan (1981-1989)
EO's 12287-12667

Jimmy Carter (1977-1981)
EO's 11967-12286

Gerald R. Ford (1974-1977)
EO's 11798-11966

Richard Nixon (1969-1974)
EO's 11452-11797

Lyndon B. Johnson (1963-1969)
EO's 11128-11451

John F. Kennedy (1961-1963)
EO's 10914-11127

Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953-1961)
EO's 10432-10913

Harry S. Truman (1945-1953)
EO's 9538-10431

Franklin D. Roosevelt (1933-1945)
EO's 6071-9537

Herbert Hoover (1929-1933)
EO's 5075-6070

Without a source it's impossible to determine which is accurate in the context being given. After all, "I think I'll have the salmon" is an executive order but not exactly consequential other then to the president's digestion.

Valid points, Curmudgeon.

Rather sloppy with this one, D.

Kind of like the "When did you stop beating your wife" question.

Read what I wrote and explain to me in what way I was sloppy.

Sloppy because of my lawyer trick reference. Quite sloppy and not to your standard. Criticism is one thing. Monstrously inaccurate statistics just makes you look foolish. You're better than this and you should probably just delete the whole post.
