Rest assured, I’ll never be a Democrat. And after the upcoming midterms, I suspect the party will have to do some soul-searching because Republicans have closed the gap in more races where Democrats have been heavily favored to win. link
Never gonna happen. They’ll lose, howl louder, and do more crazy stuff
the next time they “win” an election. That’s how the parties work, both
of them. There’s no “soul-searching”, just plotting to win the next
one.

The Democrats seem to be run by aging kleptocrats. The media seems fine with that and will continue to run interference. However, the Democrats can't seem to purge their ranks of the perverts and groomers, and normal people notice.
The Republican establishment dick-heads like Mitt Romney are losing favor, and being replaced by people who want to do better than just manage America's decline. Maybe that will stick.
In my state, JD Vance is in a tight race for the senate. After reading Hillbilly Elegy, I get the idea that Vance doesn't hate rural Americans, so he's an improvement. It isn't clear that he will be motivated or able to help.
