Who Was Right, and Who Was Wrong?

Sarah Palin said we should "drill, baby, drill!"  Barack Obama said we "can't just drill our way out of the problem."  Headline today:
America is now the world's largest oil producer
Just one more data point as evidence that not only was he an empty suit, he was an idiot.

I don't think he was an idiot, I think his arrogance and narcissism are off the scales. I mean, who gives speeches containing, "If you want to ensure MY legacy...", and "What I need you to do.."? The man is an oaf!

No, Sorry, Obama was right. We have not and will not drill ourselves out of the problem.
In the second quarter of 2018, the U.S. imported roughly 10.4 million barrels of petroleum per day, In the second quarter of 2018; the U.S. exported roughly 7.6 million barrels of petroleum per day.
It doesn’t matter how much you produce if at the end of the day you still have to import three million barrel a day.

Obama didn't want to drill. We drill. We frak. I've read that when LNG is included, we're a *net* energy *exporter*.

So Obama was wrong. Shocking, I know.
