The striking thing about the sudden wounded-fawn Democratic syndrome is that Cheney is far milder than Gore was, that the CIA is not the firebrand Pelosi has been, and Bush has been silent about Obama in a way that even Clinton was not about Bush. If this softball stuff excites such outrage, what will happen if politics really get rough, say, as it was around 2007?

What goes around, comes around. Didn't the Dems ever learn that in high school? No matter who started the rumor, somehow it always came back on them in the end.
What was Gore's gentle admonishment toward the Bush administration?
"HE BETRAAAAYED THIS COUNTRY! HE PLAYED ON OUR FEARS!"
Yeah, I haven't heard Cheney talk like that. We conservatives are supposed to shut up. Pure and simple.
