Wednesday Trivia

The answer to yesterday's question is:
Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and Sacramento, California.

Today's question is:
What was the name of the aircraft from which was dropped the first atomic bomb, on Hiroshima? (bonus point if you can identify the pilot)

That's the "Enola Gay." Can't remember the pilot's name.
But the 2nd atomic bomb was dropped by the B-29 "Bock's Car" onto Nagasaki--do I get bonus points for knowing that?!

Enola Gay.

I'm going to kick myself when you post the name of the pilot because I know it. I hate brain cramps.

Just came to me, Paul Tibbets.

I knew I knew it. Just needed to think about something else for a minute. I read his biography in high school.

COL Paul Tibbets, Pilot-in-Command of the Enola Gay, named after his mother.

The aircraft was named the "Enola Gay" and the pilot was named, I believe, Tippet?
