This Song Speaks To Me

It often brings tears to my eyes, especially now.

This is a remake of a Nine Inch Nails' song.

I liked their version better.

I played it non-stop after Bush stole the 2004 "election."

Odd that we have that song in common.

The only election stolen in 2004 was in Washington state. Get over it, Anonymous.

And yes, I noticed Trent Reznor was the writer.

Good Tune. In my mind, same song genra as "Downbound Train" and "The River" by Bruce Springsteen. Amazing how many emotions are covered by music. IIRC, HURT was recorded by Johnny shortly after June Carter Cash's death.

I think so, too, even though she's in the video (thanks to some artful editing, no doubt). He's suffering. It's so easy to understand.

What have I become
My sweetest friend?
Everyone I know
goes away in the end.
.
.
.
Beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear.
You are someone else,
I am still right here.

just goes to show how temporary things and people are in this world....and how the human race puts their faith, effort, and time into all these temporary materials. and then they end up thinking about things and asking questions like the ones in that song. it's quite depressing.

Anonymous, please tell me, is Bush an complete idiot who can't count to 10 or is he pure evil who can steal elections from Democratic controlled counties in front of thousands of reporters watching? Which is it?

Spotter, I saw this video before June Cash passed on. I hadn't seen Johnny Cash in some time and he looks bad in this video. After seeing him at June's funeral, I knew he didn't have much time left. At least he lived a great life....
