Who's Surprised? Not Me.

I can tell you that my 'rona-shutdown math students didn't get anywhere near the education that my current students are getting, especially given the rampant cheating that took place:

A number of my students who returned to in-person instruction this year after virtual instruction during 2020-2021 saw their grades drop precipitously. For them and others like them, virtual instruction has been grade inflation on steroids.

Same, but most of mine got back into the groove fairly quickly.
