Is It Too Early, Or Too Late, To Say "I Told You So"?

The IPCC gets around to agreeing with me:
The Earth has been getting warmer -- but how much of that heat is due to greenhouse gas emissions and how much is due to natural causes?

A leaked report by a United Nations’ group dedicated to climate studies says that heat from the sun may play a larger role than previously thought.

“[Results] do suggest the possibility of a much larger impact of solar variations on the stratosphere than previously thought, and some studies have suggested that this may lead to significant regional impacts on climate,” reads a draft copy of a major, upcoming report from the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)...

“Climate science has the problem of trying to explain why we are now in our 17th year without a significant warming trend. As a result, you are seeing many forecasts of warming for this century being ratcheted down,” he said.
All this has happened before, and it will happen again. Earth's climate is cyclical, with or without SUV's.

Why, then, do the True Believers cling to their global warming with religious fervor?  I point out the reasons in this post, among others.

Global warming exists for one reason: Someone is making money from it. No better example of it being a scam is the High Prophet (or is that profit?) Al Gore taking millions from a oil nation for this tv station. He then has the gall to say he "understands peoples skepticism". Yeah, no shit Sherlock. Gore sold out because that is what he is all about...making money. He is invested up the wahzoo on "green" energy and then touts global warming to make money. In this age, it is so easy to fool millions of gullible kool aid drinkers with the feel good environment bullshit.

It's not too late or too early; it's immaterial.

Anthropogenic global warming is one of the ways in which the superior impose themselves on their inferiors. The issue's irrelevant other then as a vehicle by which mankind's proper rulers overcome the tedious impediments of representative forms of government.

You want a prediction? Here you go:

The admission by the IPCC that solar effects significantly impact the climate - as ludicrously unnecessary as that admission ought to be - won't make a lick of difference to the supporters of the Kyoto Accords and suchlike. It won't bother them a bit.
