Seriously, in much of the state the power gets shut off when the wind blows or when it's hot. First World dreams with Third World governance and infrastructure.
I feel so sorry for those folks. A couple of years ago during a similar heat wave here, our AC broke. And we didn't have the money to repair it at the time. We lingered for a month in 100+ heat. I would've made a lousy pioneer.
