The Problem With "Privilege". The author objects to the word "privilege", not to the idea that some people have advantages that others have.
So the title of that article could easily cause people of my political stripe to dismiss it. I took the bullet for everyone and read it, it's not as bad as you'd think. At all.

What a thought provoking read. As personal anecdote, I agree that being of a certain minority has both helped and hurt me in different facets depending on the context (job searching, family impact, friends, etc) and I think it's important to acknowledge that arbitrary adding more discrimination instead of making efforts to rid of existing ones at a cultural level is not the way to go.
