We would be an even better people if we actually listened to what he said. "I have a dream" that people won't be judged by the color of their skin. Why then, is race and ethnicity on a college application? Why then do we have a NAACP? Why then do we have a black congressional caucus? Why do we have "diversity deans" on campus who's job exactly is to judge people on the basis of skin color? We have a long way to go, and unfortunately we're on the wrong road. All references to race and ethnicity should be deleted from government programs. Instead, use economic status as a fairer determination of hardship.
