Unprepared For College
A Teacher's View (which will shortly be on my blogroll) has a great post about all the students who show up at college unprepared. For some, college just isn't the right place, academically prepared or not, even though so many parents and school officials act as if you're nobody without a college education.

I've said this before and I will say it again, we do a disservice to many of our students by getting rid of vocational programs. While every student who desires to go to college should have the opportunity to prep, we should not water down higher level academic programs to accommodate those students who are not college bound.
