Yep. I read the article and RIGHT NEXT to it was another about a Habitat house the new owner helped build... she has a job but needed some help, etc.
Programs like that are very exciting. Though... I kind of wonder in this climate if it wouldn't be better to take a foreclosed house for Habitat and rehab the thing for cheaper. :]
I dont understand. How do you show residency in a city if you're homeless? Do they just mean residency in the USA? Or do homeless shelters keep track of a person's prior residence in order to assign them to a particular place in which to be sheltered?

No, they're not slow. At least that isn't the factor that explains their decisions and opinions.
