Although the margin of error is not given, I believe my numbers are not statistically different from yours.

Now if we could just somehow convince the Republicans to drop all these 'big brother' issues where they try to forces their version on morality onto everyone else....

Like -
abortion (a complex moral issue that can't and shouldn't be legislated, but should be a private decision)

same-sex marriage (churches can choose to refuse to perform marriages if they want, citizens should be able to freely associate legally in a civil service, regardless)

Basically, if there is no specific harm to others, the government has no business sticking their noses in. But unfortunately, the Puritans have never left us, and they are now taking over the Republican party. "The Scarlet Letter" still makes me want to go postal....

Abortion shouldn't be a "complex moral issue", and it's not for those of us who agree it's tantamount to infanticide. That's the only reason we right-to-lifers are, in fact, right-to-life.

I'm ok with the way California's domestic partnership law is written, but I don't want government redefining the word "marriage".

Now, can we talk about all those "private" issues the Dems want to force on us?
