The House of Burgesses. I've visited Colonial Williamsburg twice and stood in the room in which they met. You get quite a feeling of history. I recommend everyone visit Colonial Williamsburg.

The House of Burgesses. They honored and awarded my 6th GGF for his bravery in defending VA during the French and Indian War and for his daring escape from captivity during that war. He came home, got awarded a few pounds for his bravery and to pay for stuff the Indians and French took (rifle, knife, etc), married a neighbor girl, concieved a child, then died. Such was life in the 1750's
