Monday Trivia

The answer to yesterday's question is:
Challenger Deep, located in the Mariana Trench. Lots of correct (and partially correct) answers!

Today's question is:

Would the smallest denomination be the Sacajawea dollar coin?

Currently it would be the ten dollar bill with Alexander Hamilton. There are two other bills with non presidents, the one hundred dollar bill with Ben Franklin, and one with Simon Chase but I don't remember the denomination of the Chase bill. There have been a number of coins minted over the years without presidents such as the Susan B. Anthony dollar, the Sacagawea doller, and the Morgan dollar, but if you limit your answers to denominations which have never had a president the bills I mentioned are the only ones to never have a president on them.

I wouldn't have known this except that I have a friend who is into coins and he frequently tells me much more than I ever wanted to know on the subject. He is a nice guy, but sometimes I wish I knew how to get him to change the subject.

For coins, it would be the $1 coin featuring either Susan B. Anthony or Sacagewea.

For bills, it would be the $10 bill featuring Alexander Hamilton.
