The Left's Version of Democracy

Referring to an anti-affirmative action ballot initiative:

"The key to defeating the initiative is to keep it off the ballot in the first place. That's the only way we're going to win.” The Left, as you know, favors democracy, power to the people, and nondiscrimination, except when it doesn’t.

At least she's honest.

In Michigan the lead outfit in the campaign against the anti-affirmative initiative was named BAMN - By Any Means Necessary - which proves that honesty is not necessarily quite the virtue that it's generally assumed to be.

As tough a fight as it's always been when the initiative finally gets before the public hanging on to affirmative action turns out to be a very tough sell.

The fall-back position for affirmative action in higher education is the "top 10%" scam.

Fortunately it's a more nakedly obvious scam then affirmative action since graduating summa cum laude from some high schools isn't much of an indication of educational attainment or adequate preparation for college.
