Education, politics, and anything else that catches my attention.
The more things change ..."I see no hope for the future of our people if they are dependent onfrivolous youth of today, for certainly all youth are reckless beyond words." (Hesiod, 8th century BC).
Hesiod was right. How *is* that Classical Greek civilization doing today? =)
Well, the earlier hippies circa 1966 were indeed pretty civilized..but unfortunately, their was nothing in their philosophy to keep it from just going off the deep end, which it did. At first they coasted along off people's normal good nature and (at the time) and in a couple years the bums, speed freaks and true anarchists took over. The hippie "church" was built upon sand.
Well maybe the kids are just following in their elder's footsteps... :p
Let's just call it Karma...or What Goes Around, Comes Around. The Wheel of Fate turns slowly, but it does turn.
