So will gay Republicans be wearing Trump 2016 t-shirts and "Make America Great Again" hats at LGBTQ Pride events this year? Eric said it's unlikely.I can't imagine why. Liberals are always so tolerant.
"It's easy to come out of the closet," he said. "It's dangerous to come out as a Trump supporter."

I am gay and didn't support Trump, but I knew gay guys that did. They believe that LGBT rights are where they're supposed to be in that there is now overall societal respect and legal equality, and that there are other more important issues to pursue besides government support for becoming "more equal," as well as believing Trump wouldn't make it an issue at all.
I disagree with their statement at a federal level due to some state's questionable choices regarding LGBT rights (Pence's state for example), but I know for certain that overall public opinion will keep checks and balances as seen in the boycotts, and since overall public opinion is a bit over 50% in terms of marriage equality and even higher for work protection/laws that make sure our asses aren't legally kicked, I find the gamble reasonable despite my disagreement.
It's only dangerous to come out for Trump because your liberal friends will cut you. That seems to be the Democrat mob mentality.
