Anyone conversant in economics could tell you that if it were true, no men would get jobs because employers would be crazy to hire them at 1/3 more than the cost of a woman.

Actually, more like 43% more ... but none the less, that' true. Those studies have way too many variables to mean anything.
you are only partially correct on this statement, as this statistic TECHNICALLY is correct (making it not a myath), but it is very misleading and is often used incorrectly.
