Former state Rep. Keith Farnham traded child pornography online — and even boasted that he’d molested a 6-year-old girl — according to federal prosecutors.
The Elgin Democrat, 66, emailed to what he believed was a fellow pedophile videos of children who appeared to be as young as six months old being molested, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday...
If the allegations against Farnham are true, they are at odds with two pieces of legislation he co-sponsored that aimed to toughen penalties against those who possess child pornography.

So this guy was rousted by an investigator from Homeland Security, who is supposed to protect us from international terrorists and by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, who is supposed to protect us from smugglers and illegal immigrants. How do either of these entities have jurisdiction in a domestic criminal case? Is this another example of the end justifying the means?

No one not represented by Larry Craig should have ever heard of Larry Craig ... unless you took the time to memorize everyone in Congress. In my view, he didn't even come close to a crime. Obviously this is worse, assuming it's true ... which we aren't supposed to. You can blame it on media bias ... but I hadn't even seen the story on FOX. So, it might just come down to .... not every pedophile makes the news.
