The first thing you need to know is that the Tea Party isn't currently a political party like the Republicans or Democrats. It is more akin to a shared ideal.
At their core, the Tea Party protesters want smaller government, reduced spending and a return to the system of government that our Founders originally created.
This is the reason why we all made fun of journalism majors in college. It's a beautiful day when their stupidity is made clear for all to see. Beautiful!
