The World Ended Two Years Ago

Remember the big Maya 2012 "end of the world" craze?  These folks believed it, I wonder what they think of themselves today.

Hey, if you want something to worry about worry about Y10K.

All the half-assed patching of programs to switch from a two digit year to a four digit year comes unglued in only eight thousand or so years.

I don't think it's too soon to start preparing.

Fritz, in the comments of the linked post, very properly warns of the looming danger of Y10K.

Imagine how much more dependent we'll be on computers in eight thousand years and how much more confusing and difficult to modify the relevant programs will be by then.

It's not too late to start stockpiling ammunition, dried food and everything else necessary to restart civilization after all the unprepared die off.

Think about it.
