Just What I Need

Will I be required to support this union financially as well?

In a move that might make some people scratch their heads, a loosely formed coalition of left-leaning bloggers are trying to band together to form a labor union they hope will help them receive health insurance, conduct collective bargaining or even set professional standards.

Good gawd, we need this like we need a hole in the head.

And how do they get the cash for this sort of thing? I suppose shaking down Dem politicians for their "support" comes to mind - and would be in keeping with classic union traditions. After all, it's about the jobs for the boys (and girls)...

Of course you will! If you don't, then you can't blog. Come on man! Get with these progressive times!

I was wondering when you were going to blog about this when I read it the other day. Glad to see you didn't disappoint me. ;)

How does a strike work?

"...Hell GHOST, WE WON'T POST!"

Won't post anything until (??) gives into demands?

Who would they strike against? Who would they negotiate with? Where would the negotiations take place? Second Life? I suppose they could walk a picket line in Second Life as well.

If they did go on strike how would they keep "scabs" out? There's no there there, just a domain name.

Or maybe it's just a reflexive action on the part of lefties; you see a group of people and right away you think "group solidarity"?
