I Made $100 This Morning

I proctored the PSAT, and at the same time got some quizzes graded and grades entered. Not the worst way to spend a Saturday morning, as the work needed to get done anyway....

I do the ACT/PSAT/SAT about ten times each year. It's not a bad gig - and it's money toward qualifying for Medicare credits.

I also like being there for the kids who are working so hard - it's inspiring to me.

I proctered the PSAT on Wednesday. My school didn't pay me a thin dime in addition. Given the cost of the exam and that we give it to every single sophomore for no charge, I wonder how long that will last. Of course my district likes to have commended scholars. It looks good for district certs.

Well, Ellen, if it was within the contract time, I understand why they didn't pay you, as I came in Saturday morning for four hours. However, if it was outside your contract time, I don't know how they managed to make you do it. We do the ACT/PLAN/EXPLORE tests, as well as state tests, during the school day, and I never get a "dime in addition" - because it's during my contract time. Not sure why you would get a dime in addition during the day. Not sure what your complaint is either.
