Thursday Trivia

The answer to yesterday's question is:
1, the Arizona Cardinals. If you want to include humans as animals, add in the 49ers and the Raiders. There is no such animal as a “seahawk”, although the name is cool.

Today's question is:
Identify at least 2/3 of the countries that border Iraq.

I don't mean to quibble, but there are two types of birds which may be commonly referred to as "seahawks." I'll grant you that neither anecdotal evidence (in the form of personal experience, this time), nor wikipedia, are always reliable, but in this case the two match up.

These are the two birds I'm referring to:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osprey
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skua

The Skua is a bird I'm unfamiliar with, but Ospreys are a type of hawk that inhabits primarily coastal regions, including almost the entire west coast of North America. At least in the NW, where I grew up, they were called seahawks. Only bird watchers seemed to know they were Ospreys. It is the Osprey for which the Seahawks are named.

The official Seahawks website includes on the FAQ page confirmation of this: http://www.seahawks.com/about/faq.html#seahawks
