Wednesday Trivia

The answer to yesterday's question is:
Guion Bluford in 1983, aboard the shuttle program's 8th flight and the shuttle Challenger's 3rd.

Today's question is:

I think that Yuri Gagarin was the first person.
A Russian woman was not long after.
I think she flew in the early 60's?

Of course Sally Ride was the first American woman in space.

First woman was a Russian, can't remember her name though.

I'm going with Sally Ride for first American woman in space.
