Liberal Politicians Explained

I received this in an email and am posting it here for humor only. If you're a lib who chooses to get his/her panties in a bunch over this, deal with it. =)

Many will recall that on July 8, 1947, some witnesses claim that an unidentified object with five aliens aboard crashed on a sheep and cattle ranch just outside Roswell, New Mexico.

This is a well publicized incident that many say has long been covered up by the United States Air Force and agencies of the Federal Government.

However, you may well NOT know what happened in the month of March, 1948, which is coincidently nine months after that historic incident:

It was in March, 1948, that Albert Arnold Gore, Jr., Hillary Rodham, John F. Kerry, William Jefferson Clinton, Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Fienstein, Charles E. Schumer and Barbara Boxer were born.

Now that piece of information seems to clear up a lot of things.

Update, 9/27/06: I didn't expect that it was real (read my opening to this post), but a commenter has pointed out a Snopes link showing that only Al Gore is apparently of alien extraction.

Makes as much sense as anything!

It's also a popular urban legend...

I actually considered looking up a few of their birthdays, but that would take the fun out of it.

Now I see why the libs like lying so much. Saying things that aren't the truth can be so fun sometimes.

Al Gore was, in fact, born in March 1948. But he's actually the only one on the list who was.

Feinstein: June, 1933
Pelosi: March, 1940
Boxer: November, 1940
Kerry: December, 1943
Bill Clinton: August, 1946
Hillary Clinton: October, 1947
Gore: March, 1948
Dean: November, 1948
Schumer: November, 1950

Yeah, but when Bush lies, people die.

There's the difference.

All I can say is please, support our troops.

Darren said...

Anonymous: there's a higher casualty rate amongst blacks in Philadelphia than there is amongst all soldiers in Iraq.

Some perspective, please.

And some intellectual honesty. If you think that the President actually lied about getting into this war, despite what all the lefties said about Saddam even before 9/11, then you're not smart enough to carry on a discussion here. Go practice your free speech somewhere else, like the Daily Kos, where rabid Bush-hatred is celebrated as tolerance, where up is down, where wrong is right.

Here's what they said, when they said it. Maybe they were lying, too.

Why do you compare our soldiers to black people in Philadelphia?

Darren said...

I didn't, you imbecile. I compared the *death rate* of young blacks in Philadelphia to the *death rate* of our soldiers in Iraq.

Please, go elsewhere.

What was the reason given for going to war? WMD. Were there WMD? No. Did they know there were now WMD? Yes.

Darren said...

Anonymous, you are mistaken.

There were several reasons for going to war, including WMD. Recall that everyone, including foreign intelligence agencies, believed Saddam had them. The Duelfer Report, which I've blogged on several times, acknowledges that Saddam didn't have an active program but was *actively* trying to get around the sanctions, and was ready to restart his WMD program as soon as sanctions were lifted.

So no, *no one* knew that we wouldn't find previously unknown WMD in Iraq. No one. Ergo, no lying.

Except by you.

Black people from Philadelphia and our troops have one thing in common...

you don't care about them...

even when they die it seems.

Anon

If you can’t have an intelligent discussion, please go back to the Daily Kos.

Darren mentioned the stats of black men dying in Philadelphia to put things in perspective. We are at approx 3000 deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq since fall, 2001. Five years. That averages out to about 600 a year or 50 a month.

Many cities in the US have more murders a month then we've suffered casualties in the War on Terrorism. During WW II, we would suffer 300 plus deaths a day. So contrary to the propaganda put out by the left, we are not loosing a generation of young men and women (much like England and France did in WW I) in Iraq and Afghanistan.

BTY Anon, how did Darren show he was not caring about our casualties or the dead black men in Phili? I guess I’m really stupid.

It may also explain this.

GORE: CIGARETTE SMOKING 'SIGNIFICANT' CONTRIBUTOR TO GLOBAL WARMING
Fri Sep 29 2006 09:04:05 ET

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore warned hundreds of U.N. diplomats and staff on Thursday evening about the perils of climate change, claiming: Cigarette smoking is a "significant contributor to global warming!"

Gore, who was introduced by Secretary-General Kofi Annan, said the world faces a "full-scale climate emergency that threatens the future of civilization on earth."

Gore showed computer-generated projections of ocean water rushing in to submerge the San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, parts of China, India and other nations, should ice shelves in Antarctica or Greenland melt and slip into the sea.

"The planet itself will do nicely, thank you very much what is at risk is human civilization," Gore said. After a series of Q& A with the audience, which had little to do with global warming and more about his political future, Annan bid "adios" to Gore.

Then, Gore had his staff opened a stack of cardboard boxes to begin selling his new book, "An Inconvenient Truth, The Planetary Emergency of Global Warming and What We Can Do About It," $19.95, to the U.N. diplomats.

Anonymous Darren cares so much he served our country in the military. Now let me share with you something John F. Kennedy once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Darren heard that challenge and answered that call. What have you done for this great nation? Don't disrespect an honorable man like Darren with such childish accusations. Some day perhaps you will realize what a privelidge it is to live in America, and thank those who have served to protect your freedom.

Oh Please. Comparing US troop death rates in Iraq with that of blacks in Philadelphia is nothing more than red herring -- and an utterly lame one at that. One has nothing to do with the other, except maybe for the fact that they’re both national tragedies. (And you’re cherry picking your Iraq stats: you overlook the nearly 20,000 US wounded figure and the $2 billion/week cost to US taxpayers.) Don’t use inane figures to obfuscate the issues…it’s a ridiculous example of sophistry and you know it. You’re way off your game here.

Darren said...

Wow, J-Mama. All those 25 cent words and you didn't really say a darn thing worth the electrons.

Again: perspective.

But hey, if you'd rather be fighting the terrorists here in the USA, don't expect me to support that belief. I like killing them right where they are.

Ellen K said...

I still say I would rather risk fighting them over there than over here. And if the idiots in Congress have their way our hands will be so tied that we won't be able to get the information we need to prevent the next attack. What is so ignorant is that the liberals seem to think the terrorists are rational. They are brainwashed and manipulated in much the same way Jim Jones led his followers to drink poisoned Koolaid. There's a post at the Dallas Morning News blogsite-its free but you have to sign up-but it's well worth the read for insight into the making of an Islamist jihadist.

My, my...25 cent words? I'll translate: inane-silly; obfuscate-muddy; sophistry-false argument. All together: you're spewing silly, false arguments in an attempt to muddy the real issues...is that now clear enough for you? Perspective? No perspective offered because there is absolutely no relation. And the "fighting the terrorists there rather than here" tag is just as ridiculous. It has nothing to do with my point. You're usually much better than this.
