Shortly after midnight, a neighbor posted on the Nextdoor app that her internet was operational again. When I got up this morning I fired up my modem and found that mine is, too. This is good.
A few days ago, through the Xfinity app, I was told that I'd get a text message when my internet was restored. No message yet....
Update: It's now 5:05 pm, and still no text message. I probably won't receive one.
