Hmmm...that is a tough one. The easy one in my mind is Louisiana with its parishes. But since your question is in plural form, you have me a bit stumped. I know there are some New England state which use something else but I am not sure which and what they are called without Googgling.
I'm shocked that I got it right. I knew about Alaska from having lived there for five years, and somewhere I picked up about Louisiana and its parishes, but I would have been willing to bet that there were more. I figured that some of the commonwealths probably used boroughs or another term.
Alaska and Louisiana.
ReplyDeleteLouisiana and Alaska?
ReplyDeleteSome of them have townships, I think. Weirdos.
ReplyDeleteI can only think of two, although there may be more. So for partial credit I'll say that Louisiana has parishes and Alaska has boroughs.

ReplyDeleteThat would be Louisiana, which has Parishes, and Alaska, which has nothing.
ReplyDeleteLouisiana has Parishes. All the others hav counties, that I know of, but I might be missing one.
ReplyDeleteI know that Louisiana is one - it has parishes instead.
