I received an email from my instructor today, confirming that I did well on the last test and congratulating me on completing my degree :-) He also said that it was the grade on one homework assignment that kept me from scoring 90% in the class, so he dropped that grade and gave me an A in the course. I'll take it!
Congratulations
ReplyDeleteVery Well done & congratulations. Now, throw your loyal followers some tasty tidbits about what you learnt!
ReplyDeleteAwesome. We need a picture of your new sheepskin once you get it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Sounds like a solid degree from a good program.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite math course was Discrete Optimization. I enjoyed the Konigsberg Bridge problem, the Traveling Salesman problem, and the Postman problem. Reviewing for that course for my cumulative final exam was actually enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed both education courses, but since I'm a "practical" guy, I got more out of the testing/assessment course than I did the educational theory course.
If I were to pick one specific tidbit of knowledge that has made me a more knowledgeable teacher, it's probably a better understanding of why a matched-pairs t-test is preferable to a 2-sample t-test if data can be gathered in such a way.
