Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is someone I admire. If I had to come up with a list of 5 living people I'd like to have a chat with, her name would be on that list.
She turns 90 years old today. Congratulations, ma'am, and happy birthday!
(On a related topic, who else should be on the above list? Suggestions in the comments!)
Not in priority order and off the top of my head:
ReplyDeleteStephen King: Anyone who can write so eloquently in diverse genre's like Carrie, Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption, and the Gunslinger series has to be fascinating.
Betty White: The female version of George Burns? Yeah, that would be a riot.
Pope Benedict XVI: Pope Francis is interesting, but the guy who gave it up? Yeah, him I would want to talk to at length.
Benjamin Netanyahu: Not about being Prime Minister of Israel although that could be a side topic. I want to talk with him about his years in the IDF.
Henry Kissinger: No explanation needed.
Alan Greenspan: I don't get economists but he sounds like he would be fun to talk with.
Robert Mugabe: Not that I respect or like him in the least. More like Dorothy Fuldheim being able to put on her resume that she interviewed Hitler.
Colonel David Ralph Hughes, West Point Class of 1950: Look him up, anyone who can help set up a cybercafe at the base camp for Mount Everest is someone to talk with at length. (And that is just one of his 'minor' accomplishments.
I share an April 21st birthday with her majesty, but am a much younger 75. (We've never exchange cards)
