It shouldn't be. The KKK was founded and populated by Democrats. The Democratic Party used to advertise itself as "The White Man's Party". They only claim to like blacks; they keep them down so as to use them, and lambaste any that leave the plantation (Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Herman Cain, Ben Carson, Condi Rice, et. al.)
It's sometimes shocking to my regressive friends when I enlighten them that Wilson is the man who desegregated the US Civil Service.
