I didn't see Michael Jackson anywhere on those---- Oh, wait...I see what you did there! ;-) Seriously, though, I was very young when this happened, so I didn't really understand why it was important. I could only see how excited others were about it. Now, I look back in amazement, especially at the primitive computer technology. They made it to the moon and back on less computing power than most people's smart phones have...egad...
I remember watching it on TV. It was probably one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.
