Im not even going to read the article because I know that it indeed is an appropriate college class. Because thats how us Democrats think. We only watch msnbc and dont keep our minds open. We hear what we want to hear.
I don't think it's INappropriate … after all, you do have to pay to take it, at a private university; and giving credit for internships is a fairly well established tradition. My only question would be, if you wanted to, could you do the exact same thing for a different party? If not, then, yeah, there's an issue. But the fact is, you could leave that option open and most students at a private liberal arts college are going to go Democrat.
It's kind of funny but a couple of lefty profs are indulging their belief that they're striking a blow for all they hold dear and a bunch of, presumably, lefty students get to pay for the same privilege. Since a degree's hardly required to exhibit smirking arrogance the attraction must be the assumption that a college degree confers additional credibility on assumptions of superiority.
Oh well, I guess if there are kids willing to take on a crushing debt burden, and parents willing to cough up, for no better reason then to extend their childhood who am I to complain? Colleges, like Micheal Moore, have discovered how to monetize lefty conceits so it's the free market in operation.
I'll complain when they inevitably try to stick me with the bill.

ReplyDeleteIf it's a private college and an optional class, then I don't see a problem with it - as long as no public money is spent.
