CNBC reports (via the Wall Street Journal/Dow Jones) that a press conference will be held tomorrow in Carson City, NV to announce that the state will be the home to the long-discussed, much-anticipated Gigafactory battery plant...We can't even get an electric car company in California.
California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas were also in the mix to host the plant, but finish as the proverbial bridesmaids. The Tesla Gigafactory is expected to cost $5 billion to construct, occupy 10 million square feet, and be home to 6500 jobs.
Education, politics, and anything else that catches my attention.

Good Job, California.
Our governor and legislature must think that jobs grow on trees here in California. Perhaps they've forgotten that there's a drought, and that the fruit is drying up?
This doesn't make any sense to me. Taxes are lower in Nevada, so it must therefore be a worse state ... Why on earth would you want to move your company to a worse state, and subject your employees to the horror of a lower tax burden? I guess I just don't understand ...
