If you know the name
Sandra Fluke but not the name
Kermit Gosnell, it's because of media bias. What else could possibly explain the titanic differences in coverage between those two people, especially given their relative importance in the grand scheme of things?
The Gosnell story is so openly gory that only can the most heartless person not feel a twinge of disgust. Knowing the ethnic makeup of Philadelphia, I have to wonder why the NAACP and the usual race baiters are not lambasting this man for not only killing African American babies, but victimizing the often young and frequently ignorant population of that city. By the way, has anyone dared to speculate how much money, FEDERAL MONEY FROM TAXPAYERS, was received by this ghoul? As for Fluke, she is aptly name. She happened to be a convenient figurehead to distract young voters with false accusations. Same old, same old from Team Obama.
ReplyDeleteDarren,
ReplyDeleteI took time off after the death of my parents. I have kept up with my blogroll. I see you've improved your site. I'm going to resume blogging so I'll be commenting some more. I hope all is well.
I honestly think part of the lack of coverage is due to the grim, graphic nature of what took place. Who wants to hear about how he murdered babies? About the atrocities committed? Do we want our children reading and seeing this stuff?
ReplyDeleteI am purposefully NOT reading or watching any of the coverage, because it breaks my heart. The fact that this could happen anywhere, let alone in a United States facility, is tragic.
Certain famous Americans want to have the pictures of dead children in Newtown released, hoping that would turn the public towards gun control.
ReplyDeleteNo, it's not because it's so gross. They report gross stuff all the time. How much gross stuff did we hear about that girl--what was her name?--who was kidnapped from Tahoe at age 12 and kept as a sex slave by a rapist/pedophile for so many years?
The lack of coverage isn't because the topic is gross. It's because it's ideological. It might turn people against abortion (if the person I mention above is correct), and we can't have that, can we?
Darren
ReplyDeleteRemember that Certain famous Americans don't like it when people play the 9/11 videos of the airlines crashing into the towers. Or of people jumping to their deaths instead of burning to death. That's too much for the public but Newtown is not.
