I don't know whether to laugh or cry. This is oh so true. My daughter and I were discussing this type of thing earlier tonight. It appears that parents and some teachers believe that just because a kid shows up, they are automatically and magically educated. As I have told my students, I can lead a kid to knowledge, but I can't make them think.
Saw this a couple of months ago.....great video. Shown to us at last faculty meeting (last Thur) prior to blundering presentation about Common Core.......so, so sad....and true. There are some other good vids like this on youtube.....
