Jobs Reports

I just made my first "political" video on the Obama Administration's jobs reports--take a look on YouTube.

12 comments:

  1. And your plan for the government to increase hiring?

    Hmmmm.

Cut capital gains taxes and "roll back regulations" so businesses will start hiring? Because cutting capital gains, rolling back regulations, and perhaps opening drilling offshore and in Alaska will somehow increase the consumer spending that has driven growth for the past thirty years.

I think I've heard that before.

  2. You err. Yours and Obama's plan is to have government increase hiring. It's that entire mindset that's wrong. How's it been working? What's the video tell you--and those are screenshots from the White House's web site?

You can point fingers at me and my ideas all day long, Mazenko, but it doesn't change the fact that the current president is a failure.

  3. Mazenko, jobs are not created because of tax credits for hiring a dwarf-female-trisexual smerf, etc. They are created because someone needs work to be done. A consultant has clients who have contracted for his services, a factory has orders to fill, a restaurant has people eating there etc. But there is little work to do right now because no one is willing to put money out with all the uncertainty of what happens next. If Obama wins reelection all tax rates are going up, multiple small taxes )e.g. the medical device tax) will come in. etc. The bureaucracy will contiued to be led by educated morons like our Interior Secretary who proudly proclaims he has his “boot on the neck of big oil”. One new regulation after another will come again so a business owner cannot determine what is required, ow much it’s going to cost, etc.

On top of that American companies have trillions overseas they will not bring back to the US because of double taxation. In anoretic accomplishment of the B Hussein Obama Regime, America (besides having a lower credit rating than Canada) has the most hostile tax structure for business.

Gee, I wonder why no one wants to start a business or purchase goods or service?

It all goes down to uncertainty. Businesses and people are not sure what happens next so they will not go out and risk money. They don’t know if Obamacare will stand next year, and if so, how much will that increase the cost of hiring an employee. They can’t be sure if their dry cleaning store they just opened, where they are working over 80 hours a week to make less than 100K (before expenses) just to be called “rich” and have their federal taxes increased, on top of high energy costs, regulations, etc. So people are waiting for what comes next.

How to change this? Romney said on his first day in office he will approve the Keystone Pipeline and direct the Department of Energy to issue leases for off shore drilling. (You of course know Mazenko that B Hussein Obama has opened up “more area than any president in history” for off short drilling. They simple haven’t approved the leases to let you actually drill) That will directly lead to tens of thousands of high paying jobs. Also the prospect of more oil on the market will drive prices for fuel down which frees up money for someone to buy other toys, etc. That is one step in the right direction.

Darren, I have to respectfully disagree with you slightly. In the mind of B Hussein Obama he is a success. He wanted this. His vision of America is a the US like socialist paradises in Europe with single payer health care, government approving all businesses, unlimited living on relief for years, the dream of owning your own home in a safe suburb replaced with us all in large cities in 600 square foot apartments, routed onto mass transit instead of our own cars where we decide where to go, etc.

So yes, his dream is going Forward. For America, it’s the Great Leap Backward. Hopefully it gets stopped soon.

  4. Uh ... demand drives hiring.

  5. Oh, and the US is currently exporting oil because it has a surplus.

  6. And the sun rises in the east.

You flail and attack, but still never get around to the point that the Obama Administration has been an abject failure in just about every arena imaginable. You don't dispute the video, you just throw crap on the wall and hope something sticks.

I've coated the wall with Teflon.

The president's policies have been a failure. The president has been a failure.

  7. Yes Mazenko, we are exporting gasoline and crude because our great Obama economy is weak so people are not driving like they used to. They don’t drive to work to earn a living, support their families and BTY pay taxes. They cannot go on vacations, spending money on things supporting other jobs, buying fuel that funds road construction, etc. In addition China needs energy and unlike our head in the sand morons in Washington DC they actually think “We need energy, we will go get it....” Hopefully they don’t sign the contract for the Canadian oil that the Keystone Pipeline will carry before a President Romney approves it.

OTS, notice how the usual suspect environmentalists are so scared of a carbon foot print or other such nonsense with the pipeline. China will gladly take that oil and ship it to their mainland on diesel burning ships. Bit of a carbon footprint, don’t you think? I wonder why they are not screaming at the Chinese for this?

If you want a really effective jobs program take a look at North Dakota. The are in a boom with fracking with an unemployment rate of 2.9 percent as of last month (http://www.deptofnumbers.com/unemployment/north-dakota/) In case you missed it, that’s basically full employment. In addition to the oil workers making a fortune, people supporting these companies are making a fortune. You can’t rent an apartment because demand is so high, restaurants, bars, etc are packed. It would seem like the perfect situation. Of course the regime of B Hussein Obama wants this stopped. Salazar thinks states can’t handle environmental issues themselves. Just like they can’t handle their own economies.

I posted on the oil boom in ND last year (http://acopswatch.blogspot.com/2011/09/tale-of-two-articlesand-how-people-dont.html) and I really love this quote from a twenty something out in the camps.

...A few feet away, Jacob Austin continues to play his guitar, now joined by Gahn, who's singing his gunslinger song.

Austin, who grew up in California, found the job here through Craigslist. He was living in Montana at the time, had already worked in Alaska and was ready for his next adventure.

In addition to his kitchen duties, he's also the camp garbage man. It's not glamorous, but it is lucrative.

"I'm making more now than I would've if I would've gone to college," Austin says.

"I was going to go to school for alternative energy — and here I am in the oil field.

    "So much for solar panels."

In a previous debate with you I mentioned what your man-child would have to do to get the economy going and cruse to reelection. He had to do, nothing! America, as we are, have endured depressions, recessions, wars, etc. We just need time to recover. But he doesn't like America as it is and his goal is to “fundamentally transform” the country. If people suffer, he doesn’t care.

  8. Failure?

Because the economy didn't go off the cliff in 2009, and unemployment has dropped from 10.3 to 8.2 and the automotive industry has rebounded excellently and corporations are posting record profits and the stock market has rebounded by nearly 7000 points (!) and corporations have more than $4trillion in cash reserves.

    Seriously, D.?

There is much to criticize and you don't have to like the policies or positions, but it's just so wrong to resort to extreme positions like "abject failure." Life is not great now, but it's not even rational to say the country is in a state of failure or that nothing positive has come from the last three years.

I know, I know. You have your opinions. But it would be wonderful for you to move toward just a little pragmatism. It's just more valid.

  9. Wow. Spinning like a top. I'm dizzy. Even O'Reilly would have to shout you down at this point, Mike.

  10. You want pragmatism and valid? Look at the chart at the end of my video, Obama's own chart. Look at what he said the stimulus package would do for unemployment, and look at what's happened.

By his own standard, he's failed on the economy.

You want bipartisanship? How many Republican votes did Obamacare get? Can you show me *any* similar Republican vote, especially on such a major issue?

How's our standing in the world? Heck, even the Arabs like us less now than 4 years ago, and that's saying something! How did Arab Spring turn out? How's that reset with Russia going? How's that peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis coming along? Heck, how's Guantanamo Bay doing?

As for how business is doing, that's all fine and good--IF you can show how such performance relates to anything that Obama has done. But you can't.

Failure. Only in the eyes of a rabid partisan could this president be considered anything but.

  11. Oh wow, look what's a top story on Yahoo, hardly a right-leaning corporation:
"People retiring today are part of the first generation of workers who have paid more in Social Security taxes during their careers than they will receive in benefits after they retire. It's a historic shift that will only get worse for future retirees, according to an analysis by The Associated Press."

President Bush tried to do something about this and his hand was slapped vigorously away by--which political party was it, again?

  12. Wow. Spinning like a top. I'm dizzy.

You seem gutless today. Point out where I'm wrong.

BTY, again, I have to agree with you to a point. B Hussein in his mind is not a failure. He wants American downsized and he is succeeding.

Hopefully come this January I hear soemthing similar to wha tI heard in January 81.

It is no coincidence that our present troubles parallel and are proportionate to the intervention and intrusion in our lives that result from unnecessary and excessive growth of government. It is time for us to realize that we are too great a nation to limit ourselves to small dreams. We are not, as some would have us believe, doomed to an inevitable decline.
