all the veterans i know still had to go to work today. wasn't a holiday for them
My mother and I, both veterans, didn't. Had a nice lunch at Applebees--free entrees for veterans. The place was packed--and our waitress got a very nice tip.
We have school on Veterans Day.
In Colorado? Really?That is not cool.
I had to work, but, still, thank you very much!
We has school in Texas...and yes, that sucks.But the elementary school my Godson goes to had a ceremony for local vets. Would have gone but had to leave early for funeral.
