Tuesday Trivia

The answer to yesterday's question, "Who was the only US president to have been a president of a labor union?", is:
Ronald Reagan, who had been president of the Screen Actors Guild.

Today's question is:
Who was the only US president twice elected with less than 50% of the popular vote?

My memory says Bill Clinton, which I'm going with.

But Wikipedia also says that Woodrow Wilson would be a correct answer! 41.8% in 1912 (versus Teddy R as a bull moose, Taft and Debs) and 49.2% in 1916 versus Hughes.

Hmmm ... Wiki also says Grover Cleveland is a good answer. 48.5% in 1884 and 46% (against three rivals) in 1892.

  5. You might think W, but I say it's Bill Clinton. I'm not positive though.
