When Religion Fails

How would Christianity "fail"? I mean, if we don't find Noah's Ark, we could always say, "It's still out there, waiting to be found." How would we prove Christianity false, though? Would someone have to find actual documentation of someone "making it all up"?

How do people act when their religion is proven wrong, like the crazies who believed the Rapture was coming last month? Or what about those who believe the end of times will be in December 2012? How do people react when their religion absolutely, clearly, obviously, fails?

We're about to find out:
Global greenhouse gas emissions have risen even faster during the past decade than predicted by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other international agencies. According to alarmist groups, this proves global warming is much worse than previously feared. The increase in emissions “should shock even the most jaded negotiators” at international climate talks currently taking place in Bonn, Germany, the UK Guardian reports. But there’s only one problem with this storyline; global temperatures have not increased at all during the past decade.

The evidence is powerful, straightforward, and damning. NASA satellite instruments precisely measuring global temperatures show absolutely no warming during the past the past 10 years. This is the case for the Northern Hemisphere mid-latitudes, including the United States. This is the case for the Arctic, where the signs of human-caused global warming are supposed to be first and most powerfully felt. This is the case for global sea surface temperatures, which alarmists claim should be sucking up much of the predicted human-induced warming. This is the case for the planet as a whole.

    I think you’re a little off. It can’t fail. It’s faith.

As a Christian I have faith the son of God was born, died, returned on the 3rd day and will come back at some point in the future. My faith underlies the fact I wasn’t around when Christ walked the earth. I didn’t see him crucified. But the detractors of my faith can’t prove it wrong. They were not there 2000 years ago.

The followers of the Church of Global Warming (CGW) are a different group. They have faith in the alter of the ALGORE, among others, in spite of evidence to the contrary. The fact the global has not been warming over the last ten years, that these scientific studies often don’t take into account solar cycles, evidence of changes in climate over the years, evidence of a collusion between agencies to put out false reports, the false “Hockey Curve”, etc will not break that faith.

Then we have the men and women behind the curtain. For some reason the fact these people (the university professors, the bureaucrats, UN panelists) are unqualified in the science they claim expertise in (ALGORE has a degree in government from Harvard...doesn’t sound like a scientific degree to me). They know they are pursing snake oil, but as long as they ere selling it they will keep selling it.

    God help us all!

It won't matter in the slightest. It was never about global cooling, warming, climate change, or anything about the weather at all. It's all about control, having extra-governmental unelected bodies dictate how others live.

Global warming was a smokescreen. It failed? Put up another one.

Their true faith is a belief that they can make better decisions for your life than you can.

  3. Your last sentence is *exactly* correct. The rest of it is, too, but the last sentence should be engraved on stone somewhere.

  4. Michael Crichton's book "State of Fear" pretty much states the same.

Christianity will never 'fail.' It is God's immortal word, and neither time or Godless atheists will weaken the almighty power of our lord, Jesus Christ.

In fact, as time goes on, more evidence will arise that will support Christianity! I will be the first one to tell atheists that their religion of evolution is wrong, and they must convert to the one true religion!

    God bless.
