"Weather Isn't Climate"...

...but you have to wonder how the global warming alarmists can say that with a straight face year after year, event after event, Gore Effect after Gore Effect, mild hurricane season after mild hurricane season (with each predicted to be the "big one"), and not just go home sobbing at how silly they look:

Britain may experience its coldest December on record, weather service forecaster Mark Seltzer said.

"Temperatures will struggle to get over freezing and although the snow should ease off tonight, it will return to eastern areas on Sunday," he said.

A third of a world away, California is set to post record snowfall for the months of November and December :-)

    It is CLIMATE CHANGE, not global warming.

    Freezing ... RECORD freezing temperatures are

    Turns out that "weather <> climate" isn't exactly true. The logic is actually:

    if weather-warmer-then-expected then
    weather = climate
    else
    weather <> climate
    end

    There.

    Sigh. I see you have been listening to Rush Limbaugh too much. Again.

    The important thing is to have large scale, expensive government programs to ensure that normal people suffer a little bit. Things like disallowing air conditioning during summer. Or keeping the heat down to 60 degrees (F) during winter. Or tripling commute times by requiring more mass transit.

    The suffering is how normal people know that they care about Mother Earth.

    So ... *more* greenhouse gases only help if you don't want to emit them.

    Clear?

    Now turn off your heat for the rest of this cold snap and put on more sweaters!

    They use mathematical models both for short-term weather forecasts and long-term weather forecasts (a.k.a. climate forecasts), and while people seem to be totally comfortable with uncertainty in the short-term forecasts, they seem to be totally uncomfortable with uncertainty in the long-term ones.

    It's routine when the weather forecasts rain on a given day, and there is no rain in that location. No one even thinks twice about it. But they accept forecasts of global warming as a foregone conclusion.

    This never stopped the Warmists from saying "See? See?" every time there has been a heat wave. Also, never forget the hurricane-like smoke coming out of the smokestack on the movie poster to "An Inconvenient Truth." The Warmists constantly point out single weather events when it suits their twisted cause.
