I just can't figure out why the deep pockets people thought it was a good idea to re-do/re-boot Tron. The next thing you know, they'll want to re-do Star Trek or....oh, wait, they already did.
I saw the original opening weekend. I thought it a decent movie and worth the money I spent. However, I also thought it worth no more than that. I have never seen it again and had no desire to do so either.
It was on TV a few months ago and I watched a couple of scenes. I decided my original opinion still holds and changed the channel.

You re-do Tron because it is the rare case where the sequel almost has to be better then the original.
ReplyDeleteNot only did I like the original (I've watched it twice in the last year), I think it's held up remarkably well after 28 years.
