Song Suggestions?

I'm going to make a CD of "happy" songs, ones that sound so cheerful that your spirits can't helped but be raised when you hear them. I've only got 4 so far:

Shiny Happy People--REM
Steal My Sunshine--Len
Hey, Soul Sister--Train
I Got A Feeling--Black Eyed Peas

Update:
These Are Days--10,000 Maniacs
Mmm Bop--Hanson

Any other suggestions?

  19. I'm liking these suggestions! Many I've heard of, many I haven't--but of the ones I've heard of, several are going to make it onto my CD. I have lotsa listening to do for the ones I haven't yet heard of, though.

    Little Deuce Coupe
    Yellow Submarine

  25. These are excellent suggestions. I also thought of Kodachrome (Simon, and Garfunkel?) tonight.

  26. Kodachrome, yes, Simon & Garfunkel.

Let us know the final playlist. Curious what makes it and what doesn't. Some great tunes listed here, might make my own playlist.

  29. Oh, and if Linus and Lucy makes it . . . I strongly recommend you seek out the original, by the Vince Guaraldi Trio -- much more up beat, less produced, and better played. when possible to avoid a Windham Hill or MCA 'jazz' artist, always do so. "Cast Your Fate To the Wind" is also very good. And, "Magic Power" was a great semi-obscure suggestion.

  30. I was about to suggest "Pure" by the Lightning Seeds thinking I was the only fan, but I was pleasantly surprised! Way to go W.R.! Good luck Darren!

  31. Have to agree with Maxutils, get the Vince Guaraldi Trio version of Linus & Lucy. It is better.
