"Public Relations Disaster"

Even that term seems a bit light when the New Jersey Teachers Union is caught circulating a memo that includes a prayer wishing for the death of the governor.

Trying to blunt a public-relations disaster, NJEA President Barbara Keshishian condemned the inflammatory joke and apologized to Christie.

"Language such as that has no place in civil discourse. It was intended as humor, but it's not funny," Keshishian said in a statement.

  1. They need to just concede the salary freeze and cough up some money on their medical benefits already. Christie has a point, and the teachers need to start dealing with the downturn in the economy just like the rest of us.

Why the bitter discourse with these people? It's a real shame, and has nothing to do with "the kids" when they act like this.

One wonders where is “Americans United for the Separation of Church and State”. Or the ACLU? Dare I cal “People for the un-American way”? Putting God and politics together…why don’t I hear CNN screaming at this man about separation of church and state. Remember what happened when the jackass named Jesse Jackson tired…

OPPS, I wasn’t supposed to point that out

  4. As many times as union groups, peace groups and other groups that are politically motivated have prayed publicly and privately for the demise of someone who opposes them it should be apparent that God isn't listening to them. Maybe they should stop to wonder why.

Hmmm, as an atheist, I've always liked this take on the subject: "God always answers prayers ... but sometimes the answer is, 'No.'"
