    Toucan Sam is still used to advertise Fruit Loops. I don't know if there was a previous mascot, but that would have been decades ago.

    By the way, it is Froot Loops, not Fruit Loops. I remember a lawsuit against Kellogg because there was no fruit in the cereal and they ended up changing the name from Fruit Loops to Froot Loops because of the suit. I think that the lawsuit was back in the sixties, but I'm not willing to bother looking it up.
