The answer to yesterday's question is:
He was forced to drink poison hemlock.
Today's question is:
How many sovereign queens has England had, and who were they? (Here England refers to independent England as well as to England as part of Great Britain.)
Mary i, Lady Jane (uncrowned), Elizabeth 1, Mary 2 (co-sov with William), Victoria, Liz 2. And I think at least one queen way back when, so I say six, not counting Jane
ReplyDeleteWell, you've got yourself a couple of Marys, a couple of Elizabeths, an Anne, and a Vicky. Although, not in that order.
ReplyDeleteI think it went:
Mary (that's Bloody Mary)
Elizabeth (Great movie)
Mary II
Anne
Victoria
Elizabeth II
However, I'm not sure they all fulfill the requirements of the question?
6?
but, I had more wives. :-P
Elizabeth I, Mary, Victoria, Elizabeth II (?)
ReplyDeleteI didn't put Mary II in there because she was a co-ruler.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, that's a good one. I know the obvious ones, Victoria, Elizabeth, & Elizabeth II but I am sure you wouldn't be asking this one if it was this easy. Probably another 1-3 whom I'm going to kick myself over once you announce the answer.
ReplyDeleteReally going to kick myself if it was only the three and I talked myself out of being confident in my answer.
Good thing I didn't guess on this one because I would have been wrong. I came up with Mary 1 and 2, Elizabeth 1 and 2, and Victoria.
